Winter Spriced Steel Cut Oats (Instant Pot Version)

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ Tbsp Butter
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Ground Ginger
  • 1/8 tsp Ground Cloves
  • 1/8 tsp Allspice
  • 3 Tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Molasses
  • 1 cup Steel Cut Oat
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 cup Milk (any variety you prefer or you can use water)

Instructions

  • Turn the Instant Pot to sauté
  • Add in butter and let melt
  • Stir in all the spices, brown sugar and molasses until combined
  • Add in oats and water and stir to combine
  • Put on the lid, in the locked position, ensuring the vent is sealed
  • Select the Porridge setting, High Pressure for 12 minutes
  • When cooking in done allow to naturally release for 10 minutes and then carefully manually release
  • Remove lid and stir oats to combine, there will be a layer of liquid on top
  • Serve with any additional toppings you prefer
